Yang Jun-hyuk Becomes a Father at 55: Welcomes Baby Daughter

Former professional baseball player Yang Jun-hyuk has embraced fatherhood at the age of 55. According to his agency, Janggun Entertainment, Yang's wife, Park Hyun-sun, gave birth to a daughter on December 11, 2024. Both mother and child are reported to be in good health.
In a statement to the media, Yang expressed his immense joy, saying, "Having a daughter in my mid-50s is indescribably wonderful. I am grateful and will raise her well."
Born in 1969, Yang Jun-hyuk married Park, who is 19 years his junior, in March 2021. The couple reportedly dated for ten years after meeting as a fan and a player.
Earlier this year, during an episode of SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny,' Yang announced the pregnancy, sharing that having a child in his mid-50s feels special and that they have chosen the nickname 'Palpal-i' for the baby.
Yang Jun-hyuk debuted professionally with the Samsung Lions in 1993 and became a prominent figure in Korean baseball, earning the nickname 'Yangshin.' After retiring in 2010, he took on roles as the chairman of the Yang Jun-hyuk Baseball Foundation and a commentator for MBC Sports Plus, while also appearing in various entertainment shows, including JTBC's 'Let's Fight Ghosts Season 1.'
