Yang Jung-a Discusses Divorce Lawsuit on MBC's Radio Star

On March 5, actress Yang Jung-a opened up about her divorce lawsuit during her appearance on MBC's Radio Star. She reflected on her role as a villain in the drama 'Sisters Who Make Waves,' stating, "I played the villain endlessly, to the point where it felt like lasers were coming from my eyes." Yang also shared that during that time, her father was ill, her mother was battling colon cancer, and her beloved dog of 19 years had passed away.
Yang revealed that she was in the midst of a divorce lawsuit, saying, "I went through it again. I was in the middle of a lawsuit." Host Kim Gu-ra expressed sympathy, asking, "Did you really go through with it? Usually, people settle." Yang responded, "They wouldn’t agree to it," which caught the audience's attention.
In another segment, Kim Ah-young discussed her experiences on SNL, saying, "Working on SNL made me realize that you never know what life will throw at you. The line 'Be careful' that Ye-eun says was actually something I said to her." She also mentioned how her audition for a character with a Seoul dialect led to her getting more screen time in subsequent shoots.
Kim Ah-young explained that her character was a school bully, and she thought of the line 'Be careful' because it suited her character well. Kim Gu-ra humorously remarked, "That’s the only line Ye-eun has. Just let her say that!"
Na Mun-hee expressed her comfort in working with Kim Young-ok, who shared that she had encouraged Na to participate in variety shows like 'Hot Singers' because of her singing talent. Na joked, "I used to pull her into things, but now I’m trying to stop because she seems tired of it."
The two actresses reminisced about their past dramas, with Kim Young-ok noting, "We lived together in many of Noh Hee-kyung's works, and our friendship was very strong." Na Mun-hee shared her excitement about working on 'The Most Beautiful Goodbye in the World,' saying it was refreshing to have a role that matched her age.
Na referred to it as her "life's masterpiece," while Kim Young-ok described her character as a grandmother with dementia and a daughter-in-law with terminal cancer, praising the perfect roles they played together.
Kim Young-ok recounted a scene where Na Mun-hee, portraying a worried daughter-in-law, had to act in a very intense situation, saying, "I cried for days after filming that scene." She humorously added, "But we didn’t win any awards for it."
Kim Young-ok noted that while viewers praised their performances, they received no awards, joking, "It’s strange. They only give awards to the younger ones."
