X:IN Set to Make a Musical Leap with New Mini Album 'Defend Myself'

The multinational girl group X:IN is poised for a significant musical evolution with the release of their third mini album, 'Defend Myself'. After a 15-month hiatus, the group—comprised of members Isha, Niz, Nova, Hannah, and Aria—will unveil all tracks from the album today, May 17, at 6 PM KST on various online music platforms, ahead of the official offline album release on May 21.

'Defend Myself' encapsulates the group's autobiographical message, reflecting the anxiety hidden behind the glamour of the stage and the choices they had to make to protect themselves amidst chaos. This album candidly portrays their struggles, internal conflicts, and the intense journey they have undergone, showcasing their genuine desire to evolve from ordinary idols into true artists.

In this album, X:IN opts to share heartfelt stories rather than sticking to their previous kitschy and pretty tracks, hoping that the raw emotions contained within resonate with many listeners.

The title track, 'Attention Seeker', explores the tension between the self that craves attention and the self that is wary of it. The song vividly conveys the psychological struggle between narcissistic and realistic selves, as each member embodies a 'movie protagonist-like persona' to express the fear of obsolescence and the quest for inner truth.

Alongside the title track, the album features '수리수리마하수리 수수리 사바하 (SABAHA)', a song that casts a spell of love towards oneself; 'Bitter Love', which captures the emotions of pride and lingering feelings in complex relationships; and 'Almost Done', a reflective autobiographical piece that looks back on their growth through dark times filled with blood, sweat, and tears.

The music video for 'Attention Seeker', filmed on location in the vast deserts of California, is expected to deliver a fresh shock to viewers with its stunning visuals and scale, effectively conveying the song's message and essence.

X:IN plans to engage actively with fans through various activities, including music broadcasts, following the release of their offline album.
