Actor Woo Do-hwan is set to engage with his global fanbase through one-on-one interactions starting today, November 20. He will be joining the communication platform 'Hiand', which has recently gained attention due to his role in the new Netflix series 'Mr. Plankton'. This move aims to foster a closer relationship with his fans.
The 'Hiand' platform is designed to provide fans worldwide with a unique experience of connecting with their favorite actors. It has already welcomed other stars like Lee Jong-suk, Park Seo-joon, and Ji Chang-wook. Currently, the platform features a direct messaging (DM) function with automatic translation and actor-specific communities, allowing for diverse communication between fans and actors. Additional features, including a 'Star Lounge' for individual interactions, are expected to be introduced in the future.
Woo Do-hwan has previously showcased his acting skills in various series, including Netflix's 'Hunting Dogs', KBS2's 'Mad Dog', and OCN's 'Save Me'. In 'Mr. Plankton', he plays the lead role of Hae-jo, portraying a wandering youth that has resonated with fans across different countries. A teaser announcing his participation on Hiand was shared on the platform's social media on November 18, generating excitement among his global fanbase.
The DM service on Hiand became available at 10 AM today via the mobile app. To celebrate Woo Do-hwan's joining, a special event is being held. Fans who subscribe to his DM service can capture a screenshot of the 'One Day Together' screen and submit it through a survey to receive a personalized 'morning call voice reward' recorded by Woo Do-hwan himself. The anticipation for this unique morning call is building among fans.
