Woman Falls While Retrieving Phone on Wonsan Mountain in Bucheon

A woman in her 30s fainted after falling while trying to retrieve her mobile phone on Wonsan Mountain (원미산) in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province. According to the Bucheon Fire Department, a report was received at 9:25 AM on March 16, indicating that a woman was lying unconscious near the summit of the mountain in the Yeokgok-dong area of Wonmi-gu.

Rescue teams discovered the woman, identified as A, dressed in hiking attire, on a steep slope approximately 4 meters from the mountain's peak. She had sustained abrasions on her right knee and forehead and was complaining of pain in her back and ribs.

The incident occurred the previous day around 8 PM when A dropped her phone while hiking. In an attempt to pick it up, she slipped down the slope and lost consciousness. Although she regained consciousness afterward, she was unable to move due to back pain. On the day of the accident, the weather in Bucheon was relatively mild, with temperatures ranging from 8 to 16 degrees Celsius, but it was windy and rainy.

A fire department official stated, "When we arrived, A was lying on a slope with an incline of about 60 degrees. After providing first aid, we transported her to the hospital using a mountain rescue stretcher."
