WINNER's Kang Seung-yoon Completes Military Service

Kang Seung-yoon of WINNER is set to complete his military service on December 19, 2024, after serving in the 6th Infantry Division. He enlisted on June 20, 2023, and is the only member of WINNER to have served in active duty. During his time in the military, he excelled as a leader, receiving accolades such as the Outstanding Trainee award and recognition in literary competitions. He was also promoted early after being designated as a special warrior. Notably, he donated 10 million KRW to aid flood victims while still in service. Despite his exemplary conduct, Kang Seung-yoon will not hold a formal discharge ceremony, likely in light of recent controversies surrounding fellow member Song Min-ho. Song Min-ho has faced allegations of inadequate service and manipulation of attendance records following a trip to Hawaii. YG Entertainment has stated that they cannot provide detailed information regarding artist service, but confirmed that Song Min-ho's sick leave was in accordance with regulations. Meanwhile, rumors of a romantic relationship between Song Min-ho and actress Park Joo-hyun have surfaced, with YG maintaining that they cannot confirm personal matters regarding their artists.
