WASSUP's Jiae Advocates for Love Without Prejudice in Heartfelt Post

Jiae, a former member of the girl group WASSUP, recently shared a touching message about love and acceptance on her social media. On February 1, she posted, "I hope you all love without prejudice," alongside a photo of herself with her girlfriend, featuring the caption, "I love you my gf♥." This comes after Jiae previously stirred up attention by sharing a passionate kiss with her partner.
In November of last year, Jiae introduced her girlfriend to her followers with a post that read, "My sweet girlfriend," showcasing a romantic moment they shared in Bali, where they donned matching black outfits and Jiae held a bouquet, reminiscent of a wedding photoshoot.
Jiae publicly came out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community in July 2021, stating, "Let’s not deceive our feelings. Let’s love. If you have to go to hell, I will go there with you." She also expressed her support for others in the community by sharing a rainbow photo and encouraging everyone to stay strong.
In February of last year, she appeared on Channel S's show 'Sisters on the Frontline,' where she discussed her journey of coming out on social media after being part of a twerking group, which garnered significant media attention.
Reflecting on her bisexuality, Jiae shared that after dating several men without feeling fulfilled, she questioned whether she could find love elsewhere. This led her to explore relationships with women. She recounted her experience of wanting to watch queer films but was disheartened by negative comments online, prompting her to express her frustrations publicly.
After coming out, Jiae received an overwhelming response, with around 3,000 direct messages daily, including both supportive and derogatory comments. Despite the backlash, she revealed that her family accepted her, which was a significant source of comfort for her.
