Wang Bit-na Returns to the Screen as a Single Mom in 'Let's Get Divorced'

Actress Wang Bit-na has been cast in the new drama '그래, 이혼하자' (Let's Get Divorced) after a two-year hiatus from acting.

The series, directed by Joo Sung-woo and written by Hwang Ji-eon, explores the real-life experiences of a couple running a wedding dress shop as they navigate the challenges of their crumbling marriage.

In the drama, Wang Bit-na plays the role of Song Ah-ri, a college friend of Baek Mi-young (played by Lee Min-jung) and the head of the wedding shop, Ji & White. Ah-ri is a single mother who has been divorced for two years. As she continues her ordinary work life, she finds herself caught in a precarious situation when her friend Mi-young and her husband Ji Won-ho (played by Kim Ji-seok) announce their divorce. This dynamic is expected to create tension and intrigue as Ah-ri balances her relationships with both characters.

Wang Bit-na is known for her captivating performances in dramas such as 'Three Siblings Brave' (삼남매가 용감하게), 'The Woman Who Sells Misery' (불행을 사는 여자), 'The Moon Rising River' (달이 뜨는 강), 'Senior, Don't Put on That Lipstick' (선배, 그 립스틱 바르지 마요), and 'Wind, Cloud and Rain' (바람과 구름과 비). Her versatile acting skills have consistently drawn viewers in, and fans are eager to see how she will portray the complexities of a single mother in this new role.

The production team of 'Let's Get Divorced' stated, "Wang Bit-na will act as a mediator between Lee Min-jung and Kim Ji-seok, becoming increasingly desperate to prevent their divorce. Her tumultuous episodes are expected to inject vitality into the drama, so we hope for your anticipation."

Wang Bit-na has been away from the screen since her last appearance in the KBS 2TV weekend drama 'Three Siblings Brave' in 2022, making her return to acting as a two-year divorced single mother particularly noteworthy.

'Let's Get Divorced' is currently in production, aiming for a broadcast in the first half of 2025, along with a release on global OTT platforms.
