Voice Actor Seo Yu-ri Takes Legal Action Against Cyberbully

Seo Yu-ri (서유리), a voice actress and broadcaster, has announced that she is pursuing legal action against a malicious user who has been harassing her online. On July 5, she shared a statement detailing the ongoing cyberbullying and defamation she has faced for several years from this individual, who has posted thousands of derogatory and false claims about her in online communities related to internet broadcasting.

Despite multiple warnings issued to the user, Seo revealed that the harassment has only intensified, with the user continuing to mock her through increasingly aggressive posts. She expressed that her personal circumstances had previously made it difficult for her to respond, which the user exploited to escalate their online stalking and defamation.

Determined to take a stand, Seo Yu-ri stated, "I have decided to take legal action as I can no longer tolerate this behavior. I will hold this individual accountable through the proper legal channels."

In her message, she also addressed the anonymous bully directly, suggesting that they project their internal conflicts onto others due to their own feelings of inadequacy. She remarked, "You likely do not feel any guilt at this moment, as you probably still believe your actions are justified. If you were capable of logical thought and respectful communication, you wouldn’t resort to such lowly insults. You are mentally unwell and very abnormal. Can you truly be invincible as you claim?"

Additionally, Seo Yu-ri has been open about her financial struggles following her divorce from director Choi Byung-gil in March of last year, which left her with debts amounting to 2 billion KRW. She has been actively working to repay this debt, having already settled approximately 1.3 billion KRW. Despite suggestions from friends to file for bankruptcy, she has committed to repaying her debts, acknowledging her responsibility for the financial situation.

Recently, she also gained attention for revealing on the YouTube channel 'This is the Final - Pajama Sisters Party' that she is dating a lawyer born in 1992, whom she met through a matchmaking agency.
