Under Fifteen Cancels Premiere Amid Child Exploitation Controversy

The K-POP audition program Under Fifteen (언더피프틴) has decided to cancel its premiere, which was scheduled for March 31, due to concerns over the sexualization of minors. On March 28, the production team released an official statement explaining that after careful consideration, they believe it is best to prioritize the protection of participants and take time to reorganize. They confirmed that MBN will not air the program and expressed their commitment to preserving the integrity of the show and the sincerity of its participants. Under Fifteen aimed to discover K-POP prodigies under the age of 15, but following the release of teasers and trailers, public outcry regarding the potential exploitation of children led to the cancellation. The production team held an emergency briefing to address these concerns but ultimately decided to withdraw the show.
