Um Ki-joon Reveals He Lived with His Wife Before Marriage

On the March 25 episode of SBS's 'Shoe Off, Dolsing For Men' (신발 벗고 돌싱포맨), actor Um Ki-joon shared insights into his love story with his wife, revealing that they lived together before tying the knot. He humorously responded to a question about being guilty of 'infinite happiness' by saying, 'I'll take it as being happy.' Fellow guest Lee Sang-min noted that Um Ki-joon had no dating rumors and was solely focused on acting until his sudden marriage announcement, leaving many curious about his relationship. When asked if he had registered his marriage, Um Ki-joon confirmed that he had. Kim Jun-ho inquired whether witnesses are still required for marriage registration, to which Um Ki-joon replied that they are, but only signatures are needed. This prompted laughter as Kim Jun-ho joked about needing to do the same soon.

Reflecting on his four months of married life, Um Ki-joon stated, 'There hasn't been much change before and after marriage. We dated for four months, met each other's parents, and then moved in together.' He recounted how they met two years ago in February 2023 through a mutual acquaintance. When asked by Tak Jae-hoon how he managed to marry despite being quiet, Um Ki-joon explained that he asked for her number towards the end of a gathering and reached out first.

He also shared a touching moment from his wedding, revealing that he wrote in a letter to his wife that he felt from their very first meeting that he could spend the rest of his life with her. Um Ki-joon concluded by stating that he has always approached relationships with the intention of marriage, which caught the attention of the audience.
