TXT's Beomgyu Set to Release Solo Mixtape 'Panic'

Beomgyu of Tomorrow X Together (투모로우바이투게더) is generating excitement with the upcoming release of his first solo mixtape titled 'Panic' on March 27. This self-composed track is expected to feature an emotional rock band sound, raising curiosity among fans.

Initially recognized as the 'visual member' of the group, Beomgyu later showcased his talents as a variety show star. His announcement of a lyrical and introspective mixtape comes as a surprising yet intriguing challenge for him.

Despite his comedic appearances in shows like '운동짱범규' last year, fans may find it hard to connect his lighthearted persona with the comforting and soothing nature of band music. However, those familiar with Beomgyu know that 'Panic' is not a sudden release; he has consistently expressed his passion for band music in various interviews.

Beomgyu has demonstrated his dedication to this genre by covering songs from indie bands such as ADOY's 'Wonder', LANY's 'You!', and Japanese singer-songwriter Yuika's 'Sukidakara'. This has led fans to respond to the news of 'Panic' with comments like "This is so Beomgyu" and "It reflects his emotions perfectly."

His involvement in the group's albums has also heightened expectations for 'Panic'. He has co-produced tracks like '거울 속의 미로' from the mini-album '꿈의 장: ETERNITY', and contributed to the production, songwriting, and composition of songs in their mini-album 'minisode 2: Thursday's Child' and regular albums '혼돈의 장: FREEZE' and '이름의 장: FREEFALL'.

With years of experience under his belt, Beomgyu is set to showcase his music through various events accompanying the release of 'Panic'. These include immersive music listening experiences and vinyl listening zones, which are expected to enhance the focus on his music.

In a handwritten message shared on Weverse, Beomgyu reflected on the feelings of being lost and walking through a long tunnel, admitting that he has faced dark days himself. Sharing such personal struggles through music is no easy feat, and his journey of overcoming these challenges as a musician is something to be celebrated.
