TWS Wins Two Awards at 2024 MAMA, Bringing Their Trophy Count to Four

The group TWS (투어스) made a significant impact at the '2024 MAMA AWARDS', securing two prestigious awards and solidifying their status as one of the year's top rookie acts.

On November 21, 2024, local time, TWS, consisting of members 신유 (Shin Yu), 도훈 (Do Hoon), 영재 (Young Jae), 한진 (Han Jin), 지훈 (Ji Hoon), and 경민 (Kyung Min), took home the 'Best New Male Artist' award as well as the 'Best Dance Performance Male Group' award during the ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

Upon receiving the Best New Male Artist award, TWS expressed their gratitude, stating, "We are thrilled to receive such a valuable award at this honorable event. Thank you sincerely to our fans, 42. After being announced as the winners of the Best Dance Performance Male Group, TWS returned to the stage, sharing, "We spent countless hours practicing with the members, pondering how to create a precious performance, and it feels rewarding to see that effort pay off. TWS also delivered a special opening performance that captivated the audience. Introduced by 신유 (Shin Yu), the group kicked off the event with a cover of BTS's (방탄소년단) hit song 'Dynamite', showcasing a well-structured performance reminiscent of a musical, keeping the audience engaged throughout.

Additionally, TWS presented a vibrant youth-themed performance, dividing into a literature club and a football club for their song 'Oh Mymy: 7s'. Their synchronized and energetic choreography added to the enjoyment of the performance. The stage for '첫 만남은 계획대로 되지 않아' (First Meeting Didn't Go as Planned) further highlighted TWS's dynamic charm, earning explosive reactions from the crowd.

This marks TWS's fourth rookie award this year alone. Prior to the 2024 MAMA, they had already won rookie awards at the '2024 Asia Star Entertainer Awards', '2024 K-WORLD DREAM AWARDS', and '2024 The Fact Music Awards'.

With two mini-albums released this year, TWS achieved back-to-back 'half-million seller' status. Their debut track '첫 만남은 계획대로 되지 않아' and the mini-album '내가 S면 넌 나의 N이 되어줘' continue to rank high on major domestic music charts, demonstrating their enduring popularity.

TWS is set to release their first single album 'Last Bell' on November 25 at 6 PM, featuring the title track '마지막 축제' (Last Festival). This song, inspired by the hit of the same name by Seo Taiji and Boys, has been reimagined in TWS's unique style, promising a refreshing winter anthem.
