TWICE Achieves Major Success on Billboard Charts with New Album

TWICE has made a significant impact on the latest Billboard charts, securing the 6th position on the Billboard 200 with their new album 'THIS IS FOR' (디스 이즈 포), released on July 11. According to an official announcement from Billboard on July 22, the group has ranked in a total of 12 categories on the charts as of July 26.
Notably, their 6th place on the Billboard 200 marks a new record for the most entries in the Top 10 by a K-pop girl group. This achievement follows their previous successes, starting with their mini-album 'Taste of Love' (테이스트 오브 러브) at 6th in June 2021, and includes their regular albums and mini-albums that have all reached the Top 10. With 'THIS IS FOR', TWICE has now entered the Top 10 for seven consecutive releases, solidifying their status as a leading global girl group.
In addition to their Billboard 200 success, TWICE also ranked 7th on the 'Artist 100' chart, and achieved 3rd place in both 'Top Album Sales' and 'Top Current Album Sales'. They also made notable appearances on various other charts, including 4th in 'Vinyl Albums' and significant rankings on the 'Billboard Global 200' and 'Billboard Global (excluding the U.S.)'.
Beyond their main album, TWICE's contributions to other projects have also gained traction. The OST album for the Netflix animated series 'KPop Demon Hunters' (K팝 데몬 헌터스), which features the song 'TAKEDOWN (JEONGYEON, JIHYO, CHAEYOUNG)' (테이크다운) and the mini-album track 'Strategy', reached 5th on the Billboard 200. Furthermore, the title track 'Strategy (feat. Megan Thee Stallion)' (피처링 메간 디 스텔리온) has maintained impressive chart longevity, appearing for 9 weeks on the 'Billboard Global 200' and 11 weeks on the 'Billboard Global (excluding the U.S.)'.
On another note, TWICE kicked off their sixth world tour on July 19 and 20 at the Incheon Inspire Arena. They are set to perform in various cities, including Osaka on July 26-27, Aichi on August 23-24, Fukuoka on August 30-31, Tokyo on September 16-17, Macau on September 27-28, Bulacan on October 4, Singapore on October 11-12, Sydney on November 1-2, Melbourne on November 8-9, Kaohsiung on November 22, Hong Kong on December 6, and Bangkok on December 13-14.
