tvN's 'I Am Boxer' Featuring Ma Dong-seok Set to Launch

tvN is set to produce a groundbreaking global survival show titled 'I Am Boxer' (아이 엠 복서), featuring Ma Dong-seok. Scheduled to air at the end of this year, the show will also be available for streaming on global OTT platforms.

This marks Ma Dong-seok's first leading role in a variety show, and 'I Am Boxer' promises to deliver an extraordinary boxing survival experience with locations spanning both domestic and international settings, along with missions that exceed imagination and a scale reminiscent of Hollywood blockbusters.

Ma Dong-seok, who has trained in boxing for many years and currently runs his own boxing gym, is not only the host but also the mastermind behind the show, aiming to target the global market with this large-scale boxing competition. A notable highlight is the final round, which will take place at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, famously known as the 'Mecca of Boxing.' This iconic venue, where legendary matches have occurred, will host the ultimate showdown, raising expectations for the show's impressive scale.

The production team behind 'I Am Boxer' adds to the excitement. Directed by Lee Won-woong, known for military survival show 'Steel Troops' and the extreme couple survival show '29: Marriage War,' and written by Kang Suk-kyung, who contributed to the global hit 'Physical: 100,' this collaboration marks their third project together, hinting at yet another innovative survival program.

CJ ENM, a global powerhouse in IP and celebrating its 30th anniversary in cultural business, is recognized for its well-crafted content that competes effectively in the global market. CJ ENM's variety shows have received acclaim for their diverse entertainment and concepts, actively promoting K-variety's global popularity through format exports, remake contracts, and distribution on global OTT platforms. Ma Dong-seok has reportedly chosen to collaborate with CJ ENM, known for producing high-quality entertainment, based on his trust in the experienced production team. His company, Big Punch Sports, will also contribute its expertise in boxing content to the production and promotion of 'I Am Boxer.'
