TV Chosun is set to broadcast '강적들' (Strong Opponents) tonight at 9:10 PM. The episode will feature discussions with Busan Mayor Park Hyung-jun, Chief Spokesperson of the Reform Party Cho Eung-cheon, Dongyang University Professor Jin Joong-kwon, and political consultant Park Sung-min, focusing on the tumultuous political landscape as the year comes to a close amidst impeachment proceedings.

In light of the current state of emergency and the impeachment process leading to Prime Minister Han Duck-soo's acting presidency, Mayor Park stated, "We should not be driven solely by political calculations aimed at quickly seizing power through impeachment; rather, we must demonstrate wisdom in responding to the crisis as a duty to the people."

The People Power Party has launched a 'management-type emergency committee' led by Kwon Young-se. In response, Professor Jin expressed skepticism, stating, "Currently, there is no entity for reform within the People Power Party, only subjects left behind, making genuine reform virtually impossible. They need to clearly distance themselves from President Yoon and apologize before moving to the next stage."

As the possibility of an early presidential election looms, potential candidates are beginning to emerge. Regarding the upcoming election landscape, Mayor Park noted, "If a candidate's image overlaps with President Yoon's, it will be difficult to secure the presidency." Consultant Park Sung-min emphasized the importance of the public opinion poll set to be released in early January, which will pit Lee Jae-myung against other candidates in a hypothetical one-on-one matchup to assess their competitiveness.
