TV Chosun to Air 'Mr. Trot Japan' at 3:40 PM
TV Chosun will broadcast 'Mr. Trot Japan' today at 3:40 PM, continuing with the first round of the main competition featuring the 'team mission' segment. Following this, the second round will kick off with the '1-on-1 death match'.
The student team will be the final group to perform in the team mission. They initially planned to showcase a complex a cappella arrangement but faced challenges with pitch accuracy, causing them some anxiety. Just three days before the main competition, they finally began to find their pitch. Master 장윤정 (Jang Yoon-jung) noted, "You could see the pressure on their faces," and praised participant 후지이 (Fujii) for delivering a beautiful performance that suited the ballad genre perfectly.
In the second round's 1-on-1 death match, six new masters will join the panel, including legendary master 호소카와 (Hosokawa), emotional trot singer 안성훈 (Ahn Seong-hoon), and Japanese classical soprano 오카모토 도모타카 (Okamoto Tomotaka).
Japanese prodigy 우시지마 류타 (Ushijima Ryuta), who debuted as a student, will face off against Korean prodigy 야나기 (Yanagi) in the death match. Ahn Seong-hoon, who recognized the song chosen by Ushijima, remarked, "From the start, he sang with a gem-like voice that made it hard to remember the original artist, creating a stunning performance."
