Trot Prince Son Tae-jin to Appear on Radio Star

Son Tae-jin, known as the 'Prince of Trot,' is set to make an appearance on MBC's Radio Star (라디오스타) this Wednesday night. He recently claimed victory in the competition show Burning Trotman (불타는 트롯맨), defeating Hwang Young-woong, who had been leading the competition before his exit.

The upcoming episode, themed 'Oh Singer Game,' will feature guests including Yoon Jong-shin, Kim Young-cheol, Son Tae-jin, and Choi Sang-yeob from the band Lucy.

Son Tae-jin has earned the title of 'Transformation Master' after winning two distinct audition shows. He first gained fame as the 'Pavarotti of classical music' by winning Phantom Singer (팬텀싱어) and later triumphed in Burning Trotman, earning him the nickname 'Little Im Young-woong' in the trot genre.

During the show, Son Tae-jin will discuss the impressive prize pool of over 600 million KRW accumulated throughout the competition, revealing that he took home approximately 400 million KRW after taxes, which left the audience astonished.

Additionally, he shared a memorable moment when he performed 'A Million Roses' in front of legendary Korean pop icon Shim Soo-bong, who served as a special judge during the auditions. He reflected on the feedback he received from her after his performance, which left him feeling quite nervous.

In a touching moment, Son Tae-jin sang Nam Jin's 'Sangsahwa' a cappella during the finals, moving everyone present and receiving high praise for his exceptional vocal skills.
