Tributes Pour in for Late Actress Kim Sae-ron Following Tragic Passing

The world mourns the loss of actress Kim Sae-ron, best known for her role in the film 'The Man from Nowhere' (아저씨). As the news broke, co-star Won Bin expressed his sorrow, stating he felt a deep connection to her, referring to her as a daughter figure. Director Lee Jeong-beom also shared his grief, saying, "I owe her a lot. I thought of her as my daughter...".

Kim Sae-ron was found deceased at her home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on February 16, at the young age of 25. A friend who had planned to meet her reported the situation to the police. Authorities have stated that there are currently no signs of foul play, but investigations into the circumstances surrounding her death are ongoing.

Her funeral is being held at the Seoul Asan Hospital, with her family, including her parents and siblings, in attendance. The funeral service is scheduled for February 19 at 6:20 AM, with the burial site yet to be determined.

Tributes began pouring in on the morning of February 17, with Won Bin visiting the funeral home to pay his respects. He also sent a floral wreath on behalf of himself and his wife, Lee Na-young. During his visit, he was seen wiping away tears, reflecting the profound impact Kim had on those around her.

Director Lee Jeong-beom, who directed 'The Man from Nowhere', spoke fondly of Kim during an interview, recalling her exceptional talent at such a young age. He described her as a sensitive child rather than just a prodigy, noting that her emotional depth was remarkable for someone so young. He emphasized that her ability to portray complex emotions was not something that could be trained but stemmed from her innate sensitivity.

Lee expressed his sorrow over Kim's passing, stating, "It’s heartbreaking to see something like this happen to someone so young and talented. I always thought of her as a daughter." He hopes that Kim will be remembered for her bright spirit and the joy she brought to her roles, rather than the tragic circumstances of her death.

He concluded by wishing for her legacy to be one of happiness and laughter, rather than sorrow, emphasizing that he wants her to be remembered as the joyful actress who loved her craft.
