TREASURE Showcases Strong Bond with YG Entertainment on 'Cultwo Show'

On March 23, TREASURE made a special appearance on SBS Power FM's 'Cultwo Show' as they celebrated their comeback with the new single 'Yellow'. This marked their return to the show after three months, during which they announced a leadership change from Choi Hyunseok and Jihoon to Junkyu and Asahi. Asahi, now the leader, expressed his commitment to maintaining peace within the group, stating, "I am a pacifist. I will ensure there are no conflicts within the team."

The group described 'Yellow' as a song that expresses the warmth of love through the color yellow. Asahi, who participated in writing and composing the track, shared, "When I see yellow, it brings me joy, happiness, and warmth, so I thought it should be incorporated into the song." Junkyu added that they prepared a softer song compared to their previous works and were pleased that fans enjoyed it.

TREASURE is also gearing up for an overseas tour, which will include performances in four North American cities (New York, Washington D.C., Oakland, and Los Angeles) and four cities in Japan (Hyogo, Aichi, Fukuoka, and Saitama), along with a concert in Seoul, totaling nine cities.

During the show, TREASURE discussed their tour settlements and mentioned their early re-signing with YG Entertainment. When asked about potential differences in settlement amounts due to exchange rates, they candidly replied, "There are differences, and it's not always in a good direction." They also confirmed that they have completed their early re-signing with YG.

Since their debut in July 2020, TREASURE has now entered their sixth year. Typically, contracts with entertainment companies last until the seventh year after debut, but TREASURE has chosen to continue their journey with YG, indicating a strong mutual trust between the two parties.
