Travel YouTuber Wonji Announces Surprise Marriage Amid Health Struggles

On January 21, travel YouTuber Wonji shared surprising news of her marriage through her personal YouTube channel community. She expressed, "I have some news that might surprise you a little (or a lot)." Wonji revealed that she met someone who makes her feel freer and more comfortable, stating, "Even in my unpredictable life, I feel certain that with this person, I can go further and have more fun together," which led her to decide to get married. This announcement has been met with warm congratulations from her followers.

With a subscriber count of 60,000, Wonji gained fame after winning the ENA variety show 'Earth Monopoly World Tour' in March. However, following her participation in the show, rumors circulated that she could no longer fly. In response, she humorously remarked, "I can't fly anymore. Theo, take responsibility!" adding that she had become tired of flying due to her extensive travels. When asked about her experience flying business class, she admitted, "Business is okay, though."

Recently, Wonji announced a temporary hiatus from her YouTube activities due to health issues, including panic symptoms and burnout. She previously took a break in 2023 for similar reasons, explaining, "I took a break from YouTube. I'm introverted, and after becoming famous from 'Earth Monopoly World Tour,' it became overwhelming." She shared that being recognized in public added pressure, saying, "When I go out, even the café owner greets me, and I feel the weight of that. I had to step aside and take deep breaths. Just hearing someone call my name made my heart race."

Despite her introverted nature, she noted that she has adapted to her new reality, stating, "I’ve chosen not to go out much anymore, and I’m feeling better now." Regarding her wedding, Wonji mentioned that it will be a simple ceremony with only family present, aiming for a low-key celebration.
