Travel Creator Kwak Jun-bin Apologizes for Misrepresentation of BTS's Jin

Travel creator Kwak Jun-bin recently issued a public apology regarding his comments about Jin from BTS (방탄소년단). During the January 4th episode of EBS's World Food Restaurant 3 (세계기사식당3), Kwak shared his experience of meeting a Turkish truck driver in France and visiting his home for a meal. After the meal, Kwak gave traditional Korean sweets to the truck driver's 13-year-old daughter, encouraging her to share them with her K-pop-loving friends. He then asked her to tell them that he is friends with Jin, which left the girl astonished. To prove his claim, Kwak showed her a photo of himself with Jin, stating they are the same age. The daughter remained skeptical, prompting Kwak to clarify in an interview with the production team that he had asked Jin if he could refer to him as a friend while abroad, and he expressed regret for the misunderstanding. He added that he has met Jin twice, hoping to clarify his relationship with the idol.
