Tragic Plane Crash at Muan International Airport Claims 96 Lives

On the afternoon of December 29, a devastating plane crash occurred at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do, South Korea. Firefighters are currently engaged in rescue operations at the scene of the incident, where a passenger aircraft collided and exploded while landing. According to the Jeollanam Fire Department, 96 fatalities have been confirmed among the 181 individuals on board, with only two survivors, both of whom are crew members rescued from the tail section of the aircraft. Eyewitness reports indicate that passengers were aware of the impending danger, with one individual messaging family members about a bird getting caught in the plane's wing, expressing fears of needing to say goodbye. The cause of the collision and subsequent fire is under investigation.
