Tragic Passing of Actress Kim Sae-ron Sparks Mourning Among Fans

The sudden death of actress Kim Sae-ron has left fans in shock, prompting the Women's Celebrity Gallery to release a heartfelt statement on February 17. They expressed their profound sorrow, stating, "We are deeply saddened by the heartbreaking news of Kim Sae-ron's passing."

The statement continued, highlighting Kim's exceptional passion and talent for acting from a young age, noting her brilliance on screen. However, it also acknowledged the challenges she faced throughout her career, emphasizing that she recognized her mistakes and worked hard to rise again. Despite her efforts, the criticism and rejection she endured were beyond what any person should have to bear. The gallery criticized the harsh standards applied to celebrities, calling for societal reflection to prevent such tragedies from recurring and hoping for a more compassionate view of all individuals.

Kim Sae-ron was found dead at her home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, at approximately 5:54 PM on February 16, at the age of 25. A friend discovered her, and the police have not found any signs of foul play, planning to request an autopsy from the National Forensic Service. They will also investigate the circumstances surrounding her death through witness statements and CCTV analysis.

Her former agency, Gold Medalist, expressed their condolences, stating, "We are deeply saddened by the unfortunate news of Kim Sae-ron. We pray for her soul to rest in peace."

Born in 2000, Kim Sae-ron debuted as a cover model for the magazine 앙팡 (Anpang) in 2001 and began her acting career with the film 'The Traveler' in 2009. She gained recognition for her role in 'The Man from Nowhere' and showcased her acting skills in films like 'Dohee-ya' and 'The Snowy Road,' as well as dramas such as 'Queen's Classroom' and 'Nobody Knows.'

However, in 2022, she was involved in a hit-and-run incident while driving under the influence in Gangnam, Seoul, leading to a fine of 20 million KRW. During this time, she faced scrutiny over claims of financial difficulties and allegations of fabricating a part-time job.

After a period of self-reflection, Kim announced her return to the stage with the play 'Dongchimi,' but had to withdraw due to health issues. She continued to face rumors, including a self-initiated dating rumor with actor Kim Soo-hyun. Last year, she shared posts on her personal account expressing her struggles, including messages about apologizing to a boss and asking for understanding during tough times.

Despite these challenges, Kim Sae-ron remained determined to make a comeback, having completed filming for the movie 'Guitar Man,' which was set to be released this year.
