Tragic Passing of Actress Kim Sae-ron at 25

The sudden news of actress Kim Sae-ron's (김새론) passing at the age of 25 has shocked the entertainment community. Her former agency, Gold Medalist (골드메달리스트), expressed their condolences on February 16, stating, "We are deeply saddened by the unfortunate news of Kim Sae-ron and extend our heartfelt sympathies. May she rest in peace."

Reports indicate that Kim Sae-ron was found deceased by a friend who had arranged to meet her. The police received a call regarding the incident at approximately 4:54 PM and have stated that there are no signs of foul play or external intrusion. Kim Sae-ron had signed with Gold Medalist in 2020 and was actively involved in various acting projects. However, her career faced challenges after she was involved in a drunk driving incident in May 2022, which led to the termination of her contract with the agency. In April 2023, she attempted to make a comeback in the theater production 'Dongchimi' (동치미), but due to ongoing negative public sentiment, she ultimately withdrew from the project.
