Tragic Paragliding Accident Claims Lives of Two South Koreans in Bali

A tragic incident occurred in Bali, Indonesia, where a South Korean couple lost their lives while paragliding. According to multiple local media reports, the Bali police confirmed that the couple, a 43-year-old man identified as A and a 41-year-old woman identified as B, fell into the sea around 12:30 PM local time on July 17. Both individuals were experienced paragliders, holding relevant certifications, and were using equipment they had brought from South Korea.
The couple, along with their group, had arrived in Bali on July 11 for a paragliding tour and had been paragliding daily since July 12. Eyewitnesses reported that while paragliding, they encountered a sudden gust of wind that prevented them from landing on the shore, resulting in their fall into the ocean. Investigations revealed that they were unable to remove their paragliding gear after falling, leading to their drowning.
Local authorities stated that the families of the deceased have opted against an autopsy, and the bodies are set to be cremated in Bali before being transported back to South Korea.
