Tragic Family Murder in Yongin Linked to Financial Strain

In a shocking incident in Yongin, South Korea, a man in his 50s, referred to as A, is under investigation for allegedly murdering five family members, including his elderly parents, wife, and two daughters. The police have gathered evidence suggesting that A may have drugged his family with sleeping pills mixed into yogurt before committing the act. A note left by A indicated that he felt overwhelmed by financial pressures, stating, 'If the sales had gone well, everything would have been resolved.'

On April 15, the victims were discovered lying peacefully in their beds in their apartment in the Suji District of Yongin, with no signs of forced entry or struggle. Yogurt was found next to their beds, leading investigators to believe that A incapacitated them before the murders.

No packaging or receipts for the sleeping pills were found at the scene, and there were no indications of alcohol or other drugs. The specific type of medication used and when it was purchased remain unclear. Additionally, A's mental health history has not yet been established.

The handwritten note found at the scene suggests that A was involved in the construction business and was likely experiencing severe stress due to poor sales and debt issues. The note did not specify the amount of debt or financial difficulties he faced.

Authorities are currently examining A's financial transactions, communication records, and the circumstances surrounding the purchase of the medication. They also plan to conduct autopsies on the deceased family members to determine the exact cause of death, including the type and dosage of the sleeping pills used.
