TOMORROW X TOGETHER's 'Deja Vu' Named Title Track of the Year by Consequence

TOMORROW X TOGETHER (투모로우바이투게더), consisting of Soobin (수빈), Yeonjun (연준), Beomgyu (범규), Taehyun (태현), and Huening Kai (휴닝카이), has received international acclaim for their title track 'Deja Vu' from their sixth mini album, 'minisode 3: TOMORROW,' released in April. On December 17, the American music publication Consequence recognized 'Deja Vu' as the 'Title Track of the Year' in their '2024 K-Pop Yearbook.' They praised the song as a piece that embodies the essence of TOMORROW X TOGETHER, evoking memories of their earlier works and marking a significant achievement for the five members.

The song conveys a message of inevitable reunion, likening the moment of coming together to a 'deja vu' experience, blending both longing and exhilaration. The track was well-received upon its release, encapsulating TOMORROW X TOGETHER's narrative of salvation.

Reflecting on their performance of 'Deja Vu' on NBC's popular show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, the members expressed their astonishment at being introduced by Kelly Clarkson as 'one of the biggest K-Pop groups in the world.' They shared, "It still feels surreal. Being recognized as Consequence's 'Title Track of the Year' reminds us of the responsibility to give our best every time we perform."

'Deja Vu' also served as the opening song for their third world tour, 'TOMORROW X TOGETHER WORLD TOUR ACT: PROMISE.' The group reminisced about their unforgettable two-day concert at Madison Square Garden in New York, a venue that has hosted legendary artists like Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, and Taylor Swift. They expressed gratitude to their fans, known as MOA, stating, "The support from everyone means everything to us."

In addition to this recognition, TOMORROW X TOGETHER has been listed among TikTok's 'Top Global Artists of 2024,' showcasing their solid popularity. On the annual Billboard charts, they ranked seventh as 'Top Album Sales Artist,' with 'minisode 3: TOMORROW' and 'The Name Chapter: FREEFALL' also making notable appearances.

Both 'minisode 3: TOMORROW' and their seventh mini album, 'The Name Chapter: SANCTUARY' (별의 장: 생크추어리), sold over a million copies within the first week of release, marking TOMORROW X TOGETHER's fifth consecutive million-seller debut. 'minisode 3: TOMORROW' debuted at number three on the Billboard 200, remaining on the chart for seven weeks, while 'The Name Chapter: SANCTUARY' entered at number two and has maintained its position for four consecutive weeks. Notably, 'minisode 3: TOMORROW' sold 190,000 copies in the U.S. upon release, achieving second place in the 'U.S. Top CD Album Sales' for the first half of the year, according to Luminate.
