The Unique Bond Between Yoo Joon-sang and Shin Dong-yup Revealed

A special connection between actors Yoo Joon-sang (유준상) and Shin Dong-yup (신동엽) has come to light. On January 27, a video titled "Did Yoo Joon-sang and Shin Dong-yup Have a Half-Brother Relationship?! The Reason Behind the Late Revelation" was uploaded on the 'Jjanhan Hyung Shin Dong-yup' channel.

During the episode, Yoo Joon-sang and fellow guest Jung Sang-hoon (정상훈) shared their experiences. Shin Dong-yup recounted, "There’s a peculiar bond between me and Joon-sang. My father was in a nursing home, where he was doing quite well. Every weekend, we would visit him and have meals together. Joon-sang's mother was also there."

Yoo Joon-sang added, "Yes, my father passed away when he was 50, which was too early. He suffered a brain hemorrhage, and later, my mother also had a brain hemorrhage. I have to be cautious about it due to family history. My mother lost the use of her right side and eventually needed to move to a nursing home for better care."

It was during this time that Yoo Joon-sang met Shin Dong-yup's father at the hospital. "I met him a few times. He was incredibly charismatic and charming. I was happy that my mother had someone to talk to, and Dong-yup's father was quite popular there," Yoo Joon-sang shared.

Shin Dong-yup chimed in, "Unlike me, my father and older brother are very handsome. I felt grateful for my father’s presence, but I also worried about him making mistakes."

Yoo Joon-sang continued, "My father had high standards and only spoke to my mother, who is also very beautiful. I was thankful that he welcomed me warmly, showing no signs of illness. It made me wonder if he was really sick."

Shin Dong-yup humorously recalled, "At that time, my father was the only one walking around without a wheelchair, and the elderly ladies would joke about him playing the harmonica. He was quite the character."

Yoo Joon-sang reflected on the bond between their parents, saying, "They got along very well, but it was heartbreaking to hear about his passing. I had to tell my mother, who was unaware. I struggled with how to break the news to her. She would sometimes revert to a childlike state, and after his passing, she kept asking why he hadn’t visited. I couldn’t tell her he had passed away, so I said he had moved to another hospital."

Shin Dong-yup remarked, "I think my father would be happy knowing they were such good friends."

Yoo Joon-sang expressed his gratitude, saying, "My mother relied on him a lot. When she asked why he hadn’t come, I found myself crying alone. It was a touching moment for both of us."

The atmosphere became emotional, with Shin Dong-yup stating, "It’s not just sad; it’s also beautiful. I think it’s a lovely story."

Yoo Joon-sang added, "I feel happy every time I meet Dong-yup because of those memories."
