He has transcended the genre of trot to become a modern cultural icon, making history as the first trot singer to perform at the Sangam World Cup Stadium and achieving the milestone of being the first solo artist to have a million-selling album in its first week. With a bold declaration, he introduces himself: "I am the hero who protects one woman, and now I have come to protect you all. Hello, I am Lim Young-woong, the trot hero who will capture the hearts of South Korea." In just three minutes of singing, he mesmerizes the nation with his rendition of Lee Sa-yeon's 'Wish'.
