Tears Flow as Kim Hye-eun Learns of Kim Jung-hyun's Uncertain Condition in 'Iron Family'

In the latest episode of KBS 2TV's weekend drama 'Iron Family' that aired on January 26, 2025, a heart-wrenching scene unfolded as Kim Hye-eun's character, Baek Ji-yeon, broke down in tears upon hearing that Kim Jung-hyun's character, Seo Gang-joo, might not regain consciousness after surgery.

After the operation, the doctor informed Ji-yeon, 'The surgery went well, but we cannot predict when he will regain consciousness. We need to monitor his condition.'

Later, when Ji-seung-don (played by Shin Hyun-joon) returned from the police station to the hospital, Ji-yeon revealed, 'Gang-joo's surgery was successful, but he is still unconscious. They said he might not wake up.'

Seung-don, unable to contain his anger, confronted Ji-yeon, saying, 'What kind of woman are you? This is your fault that Gang-joo is in this state. He is in danger, and you ran away because of money. Are you even a mother?'

In despair, Ji-yeon replied, 'If I had known it would come to this, I wouldn't have left. I turned back after realizing my mistake, but I didn't even make it to the bank before this happened.' Seung-don retorted, 'Your tears are wasted. You don't deserve to cry. If anything happens to Gang-joo, it's both our faults. Get a grip!'
