&TEAM Achieves 'Double Platinum' Certification in Japan

&TEAM (앤팀), the group under HYBE, has officially received the 'Double Platinum' certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. As of January 15, 2025, the association reported that &TEAM, consisting of members U-ju, Huma, K, Nicholas, Yuma, Jo, Harua, Taki, and Maki, has surpassed 500,000 units in cumulative shipments of their second studio album 'Yukiakari' (雪明かり/유키아카리), which was released on December 18, 2024.
'Yukiakari' serves as the grand finale of &TEAM's seasonal album series, with the title meaning 'the phenomenon of light reflecting off snow, illuminating the surroundings.' This album focuses on the theme of 'winter,' marking the last chapter of the series.
Previously, &TEAM achieved 'Double Platinum' status for their first single 'Samidare' (五月雨/사미다레) and their second single 'Aoarashi' (嵐/아오아라시). The third installment, 'Jyuugoya' (十五夜/쥬ごや), was released as a digital single.
The album 'Yukiakari' features four new tracks, including the title song, 'Deer Hunter,' 'illumination,' and 'crescent moon's wish' (三日月の願い), along with a total of 22 songs, which includes Korean versions and previously released tracks.
Following its release, 'Yukiakari' topped the Oricon Daily Album Ranking for six consecutive days from December 17 to 22, 2024, and also claimed the number one spot on the Weekly Album Ranking as of December 30. Additionally, it reached the top of Billboard Japan's Weekly Top Album Sales chart for the period of December 16 to 22, continuing its impressive momentum.
