Taiwanese Star Se Hwi Won Laid to Rest in Private Ceremony

The funeral of Taiwanese actress Se Hwi Won, wife of K-pop group Coolon's Gu Jun Yeop, was held at a natural burial site. According to local reports, Se Hwi Won was laid to rest in a serene woodland setting. The family conducted a private farewell ceremony at her former home, where a piano performance honored her memory. Family and friends shared moments reminiscing over old photographs while enjoying champagne, reflecting her wishes for a joyful farewell filled with laughter and good food. Se Hwi Won had previously expressed her desire for a celebration rather than mourning, urging attendees not to cry.
Attendees noted that Gu Jun Yeop appeared significantly thinner, having lost around 6 kg, which was particularly striking given his typically muscular physique. He tearfully bid farewell to Se Hwi Won, and her sister also seemed to have lost weight during this difficult time.
Se Hwi Won passed away on February 2 at the age of 48 due to complications from pneumonia following the flu while traveling in Japan with her family. She was previously married to Chinese businessman Wang Shao Bi, with whom she had a son and daughter, but they divorced after ten years in 2021. In 2022, she announced her marriage to Gu Jun Yeop, reuniting after two decades and receiving widespread blessings. Tragically, just before their third wedding anniversary, they faced this heartbreaking separation.
Following her death, Gu Jun Yeop expressed his profound sorrow, stating, "My angel has returned to heaven," and shared the indescribable pain he is experiencing during this time of loss.
