Tablo Reacts to Tukutz's Unilateral Decision to Use New Epic High Song for 'Black and White Chef 2'

In the latest episode of 'Jjanhan Hyung' (짠한형), Tablo expressed his surprise and frustration over Tukutz's decision to allow the use of their new song for 'Black and White Chef 2' without consulting him first. The episode aired on December 2, 2024, and featured a humorous exchange between the members.

Host Shin Dong-yeop kicked off the discussion by asking, "Did you decide to use the new song for 'Black and White Chef 2' all by yourself?" Tukutz responded with laughter, acknowledging that he may have gone a bit overboard by suggesting it could be used for free.

In October, Tablo was taken aback by a news article stating that their new song could be used for the show at no cost. He humorously shared a video saying, "Oh, I see. We have to keep our promises," while expressing his disbelief.

The article highlighted that Epic High (타블로, 투컷, 미쓰라) had recently released their new album 'PUMP COLLECTOR'S EDITION' and that the title track 'Michelin CYPHER' quickly climbed the Melon HOT100 chart after its release. The group announced that the new song could be used for 'Black and White Chef 2' for free.

In the episode, Tablo was seen reacting to the news article, saying, "I found out about this from the article. Did Tukutz really decide this?" Tukutz humorously commented that he felt sorry for making the unilateral decision, but he believed it would ultimately benefit them financially. Tablo jokingly replied, "How did I end up sharing this crazy idea with you?"

Tablo further expressed his frustration on the show, stating, "I saw this in an article instead of a text message. The copyright isn't just yours; I co-wrote the lyrics with Mithra. Is this even sane?" Tukutz lightheartedly responded, "When you invest, you have to be sure about it."

Tablo countered, "Isn't investment usually done with your own money?" to which Tukutz replied, "We are one body; we are in the same boat." Mithra chimed in, saying he wasn't shocked by Tukutz's decision, given his tendency to make bold investments.

Tablo reminisced about how they were in Australia shooting a music video when 'Black and White Chef' aired, noting its popularity among the American crew. He mentioned that they expedited the release of their song due to the buzz around the show.

Tukutz defended his decision as a "future investment" and an "open source" opportunity, while Mithra humorously referred to it as a "big picture for hitting the jackpot." Tukutz concluded by urging, "Please use it! It's free!"
