Suzy Opens Up About Her Music Career: 'I Want to Make Music When I'm Comfortable'
Suzy (수지) recently shared her thoughts on her music career during the KBS 2TV show, 'I Am a Singer in Germany' (나는 가수 인 독일), which aired on December 7. The episode featured musicians traveling to Germany for a busking event.
As the group prepared for their performance, Sunwoo Jung-A expressed her excitement about collaborating with fellow musicians, saying, "Even though we are not familiar with each other, there is a thrill when we find harmony during practice. I am really looking forward to that." The members delivered a well-coordinated performance, showcasing their extensive practice.
Upon arriving in Munich, Suzy was welcomed by her exhausted bandmates, who had just completed a successful busking session. Gyro commented on the warm welcome he wanted to give but felt too tired to do so, while Henry expressed concern about Suzy's feelings regarding their fatigue.
The next day, during a rehearsal, Suzy reflected on her career, stating, "I debuted in 2010, and at some point, I realized that I wanted to release music when I felt comfortable rather than just to gain recognition. This has made my album releases slower over time."
She added, "I want to be the kind of artist that fans discover by chance, perhaps while listening to a song. It makes me proud when someone appreciates a song that no one else knows about. I really enjoy that kind of connection."
