Sulli's Brother Sparks Controversy with Cryptic Posts Targeting Kim Soo-hyun

On March 23, 2025, the brother of the late actress Sulli, Choi, drew attention by posting a series of ambiguous messages on his social media, seemingly aimed at actor Kim Soo-hyun. In one post, he referenced the film that featured both Sulli and Kim, stating, "My life, your life, everyone's life is 'real.'" This followed a previous post on March 21, where he expressed frustration, saying, "I have a lot to say about Kim, but I can't. Hold on tight; it's going to fall from a high place," which sparked speculation about targeting Kim Soo-hyun.

As the posts gained traction, Choi responded to critics, questioning how fans could be unhelpful and stating, "I didn't even mention Soo-hyun's name, yet people rush in. They must be going crazy without fact-checking." He further expressed his displeasure about the ongoing discussions surrounding his sister, saying, "It's very unpleasant to see my sister's name still being brought up everywhere."

Choi continued to express his anger, questioning the role of fans in this situation, stating, "What kind of fans are they? They look like they are tearing each other apart in my eyes." He also reacted to a comment suggesting his posts were not significant, affirming, "It's not important to anyone but me, so you don't need to worry about it." In response to another comment urging him not to exploit Sulli's name, he remarked, "When she was alive, she used her name more than I did. I just choose not to talk about it; it's not a big deal, so let it go."

Meanwhile, Kim Soo-hyun is currently facing allegations of 'grooming' related to his past relationship with the late actress Kim Sae-ron, who was a minor at the time. Kim Sae-ron's family has claimed that Kim Soo-hyun's agency, Goldmedalist, pressured her with a legal notice demanding 700 million KRW in damages following her DUI incident, alleging that he turned a blind eye despite their past relationship. However, Goldmedalist clarified that while Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron did date, it was after she turned 18, from the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020, and that the legal notice was part of a process related to her DUI incident, not a demand for payment.
