To celebrate his discharge, Suga shared a heartfelt message with fans on the fan community platform Weverse. He expressed, "Today, I am officially discharged, and I wanted to greet you all after such a long time. It’s a day I’ve been waiting for, and I was unsure how to say hello after so long. First and foremost, I want to sincerely thank all the fans who have waited for me. I really missed you all."
During his service, Suga took time to reflect on himself, stating, "I felt the need to step back from the work I’ve been doing for a long time. I’ve been running forward without looking back, but this time allowed me to reflect on myself."
He also addressed the controversy surrounding his electric scooter incident from last year, apologizing for disappointing fans and causing them concern. He said, "I’m sorry for the disappointment and worry I caused last year. I was particularly upset that I hurt the feelings of my fans. I also feel sorry for the members who may have felt heavy-hearted because of me."
Suga concluded his message with a promise to work hard to repay the love he has received from fans, saying, "I will strive to give back even more love in the future. I love you all, and I will keep you updated."
