Stray Kids Achieve Eighth Gold Certification from RIAA with 'MAXIDENT'
Stray Kids have officially received their eighth Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for their mini album 'MAXIDENT', released on October 7, 2022. According to the RIAA's announcement on January 31, 2025, this certification is awarded to albums and singles that surpass 500,000 sales in the U.S. With this latest accolade, Stray Kids now holds Gold certifications for several singles including '神메뉴' (God's Menu), 'MANIAC', 'Back Door', and '소리꾼' (Sori-kun), as well as albums like '★★★★★ (5-STAR)', '樂-STAR' (Rock Star), 'ATE', and 'MAXIDENT'.
'MAXIDENT' showcases the distinct musical identity and authenticity of the group, with all members credited on the eight tracks, led by the producing team 3RACHA, consisting of Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han. Stray Kids made their Billboard 200 debut with 'ODDINARY' in March 2022, reaching the top spot, and followed up with another number one entry with 'MAXIDENT' in October of the same year. Additionally, 'MAXIDENT' achieved over 3 million sales within a month of its release, marking it as JYP Entertainment's first triple million-seller.
As Stray Kids continue to elevate their global presence with six consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard 200, they are set to embark on their largest world tour, 'Stray Kids World Tour 'dominATE'', starting in March. This tour will cover Latin America, Japan, North America, and Europe, expanding to 55 performances across 34 locations worldwide, including newly added shows in Shizuoka and Rome, as well as additional dates in Arlington and Madrid due to high demand.
