Star-Studded Cast Announced for 'Breakfast Meeting for the Heartbroken'

The highly anticipated film 'Breakfast Meeting for the Heartbroken' (실연당한 사람들을 위한 일곱 시 조찬모임) has finalized its impressive cast, featuring Suzy (수지), Lee Jin-wook (이진욱), Yoo Ji-tae (유지태), and Geum Sae-rok (금새록). The production team announced that filming commenced on December 29, 2024, under the direction of Lim Sun-ae (임선애) and produced by With Ace Studio and Wavve Studio Management Forest.

Based on the novel by Baek Young-ok (백영옥) published in 2012, the film tells the story of characters Sa-gang (수지) and Ji-hoon (이진욱), who come together at a breakfast meeting to exchange their 'breakup souvenirs' and share their personal stories of heartache and loss.

Suzy and Yoo Ji-tae portray a flight attendant and a captain, respectively, delivering poignant performances that explore themes of love and loss. Meanwhile, Lee Jin-wook, playing a consultant, and his partner, a teacher portrayed by Geum Sae-rok, are expected to present a deep and realistic portrayal of long-term relationships and breakups. Fans are particularly excited about the reunion of Suzy and Lee Jin-wook, who previously shared screen time in the Netflix series 'Iduna!' (이두나!). Their chemistry in this new film is highly anticipated as they navigate their characters' emotional connections through their 'breakup souvenirs.'

The film also boasts a talented supporting cast, including Miram (미람), Jeon Hye-jin (전혜진), Bae Jong-ok (배종옥), Lee Seong-wook (이성욱), Park Se-jin (박세진), Lee Ga-seob (이가섭), and Jeon Seok-chan (전석찬), who will enrich the narrative with diverse stories of love, loss, and life.

Director Lim Sun-ae, known for her unique perspective and delicate direction in films like '69 Years Old' (69세) and 'Love at the End of the Century' (세기말의 사랑), is at the helm of this project. With multiple films in the pipeline, including 'Searching for the King' (왕을 찾아서) and 'Interview' (인터뷰), With Ace Studio continues to collaborate with Lim for the second time following 'Love at the End of the Century.' Management Forest has been involved from the planning stages, and Wavve Studio, known for its diverse media content production, is co-producing, ensuring a robust production team.

'Breakfast Meeting for the Heartbroken' is set to hit theaters in the winter of 2025, aiming for a release in the second half of the year.
