Squid Game Season 3 Tops Netflix Charts in 93 Countries Within a Day

The highly anticipated third season of Squid Game (오징어 게임) has made a remarkable debut, securing the number one spot on Netflix in 93 countries just one day after its release on June 27, 2025. According to FlixPatrol, the series achieved this milestone on June 28, 2025, dominating the global TV show rankings on the platform.
Squid Game Season 3 garnered an impressive score of 930 points, which is particularly noteworthy as FlixPatrol awards 10 points for each country where a show ranks first. This means that Squid Game Season 3 was the top show in all 93 countries tracked, creating a significant lead over the second-place show, Waterfront (워터 프론트), which scored 676 points.
The new season continues the gripping narrative, following Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae), who returns to the deadly games with personal motives, only to lose his closest friend. The story also delves into the enigmatic Frontman (played by Lee Byung-hun), who hides his identity while orchestrating the brutal games, and the fates of the participants who survive the harrowing challenges.
Since its debut in 2021, the first season of Squid Game has become Netflix's most popular series of all time. The second season, released last year, also broke records for viewership in its opening week and ranked as the third most popular series in Netflix history. Combined, Seasons 1 and 2 have amassed approximately 600 million views.
