Squid Game Season 3 Tops Global Charts for Four Consecutive Weeks

The Netflix series Squid Game Season 3 (오징어 게임3) has maintained its position at the top of the global charts for four weeks in a row. According to Netflix's viewing statistics released on July 23, the show recorded 7.8 million views and 47.9 million hours of watch time from July 14 to July 20, securing the number one spot in the non-English TV show category. In the same category, the second place went to Under a Dark Sun (언더 어 다크 선) with 5.8 million views and 28.2 million hours.

However, when combining both English and non-English TV shows, Squid Game Season 3 dropped to third place overall. The top spot was taken by Untamed (언테임드) with 24.6 million views and 119.5 million hours, followed by Amy Bradley Is Missing (에이미 브래들리가 사라졌다) in second place with 12.2 million views and 27.1 million hours. Prior to this, Squid Game Season 3 had held the number one position in the combined rankings for three consecutive weeks.

The storyline of Squid Game Season 3 follows Seong Gi-hun (성기훈), who, after failing in a rebellion in the previous season, returns to participate in the deadly games once again. The series features actors Lee Jung-jae (이정재), Lee Byung-hun (이병헌), and Lim Si-wan (임시완), with director Hwang Dong-hyuk (황동혁) returning to write and direct this final season.

In the non-English TV show category, Squid Game Season 3 is joined by Squid Game Season 2 (오징어 게임2) at sixth place with 1.9 million views and 13.7 million hours, and I Want to Date Even Though I'm a Lifelong Single (모태솔로지만 연애는 하고 싶어) at tenth place with 1.4 million views and 10.8 million hours.
