The show triumphed over notable competitors including Apple TV+'s Acapulco and Pachinko, Prime Video's Citadel: Honey Bunny, Hulu's La Maquina, Netflix's Lydia Poet's Law Season 2 and Senna, as well as HBO's My Brilliant Friend Season 4, showcasing its immense popularity.
Previously, the first season of Squid Game received accolades at the 27th Critics Choice Awards, winning the Best Foreign Language Drama and Best Actor in a Drama Series for Lee Jung-jae (이정재).
