Special Prosecutor's Team Investigates Kim Geon-hee's Residence and Family

On July 25, 2025, the special prosecutor's team led by Min Jung-ki announced that they are conducting searches at various locations, including the residence of Kim Geon-hee (김건희) in Acro Vista, Seocho-gu, Seoul. The investigation also extends to her mother, Choi Eun-soon (최은순), her brother, Kim Jin-woo (김진우), and the office of National Assembly member Kim Seon-kyo (김선교) from the People Power Party.

This morning, prosecutors and investigators were dispatched to Kim Seon-kyo's office to secure documents and files from computers. The search targets include not only Kim Geon-hee's residence but also the homes of her mother and brother.

All individuals involved in the searches are connected to allegations regarding the Yangpyeong Gongheung District development project. The special prosecutor's team aims to gather evidence to determine the extent of Kim Seon-kyo's involvement in the Yangpyeong Expressway project. They are also expected to investigate claims that a staff member from Kim Seon-kyo's office requested updates on the investigation from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
