Among them, Kim, Park Eok-soo, Park Ji-young, and Park Tae-ho are former prosecutors, while Lee is a professor at Myongji University and Jang is a former police officer. Special Prosecutor Cho Eun-seok stated that the recommendations from the Korean Bar Association were taken into account, and emphasized the selection of individuals with exceptional investigative and management skills from law enforcement. Park Ji-young will handle media relations for the team. The insurrection special prosecutor team set up its office at the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office on June 17 and began receiving case files related to the December 3 emergency martial law and other insurrection-related incidents the following day. On the first day of the investigation, June 18, former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun was additionally indicted on charges of obstructing official duties through deception and instructing evidence destruction.
