Song Seung-heon Expresses Desire to Be a Father to a Beautiful Daughter

Actor Song Seung-heon has revealed his aspirations to become a father to a lovely daughter. In a recent interview with the magazine Singles, he, along with co-stars Jo Yeo-jeong and Park Ji-hyun, discussed their roles in the newly released film 'Hidden Face' (히든페이스), which premiered on November 20, 2024.

During the interview, the trio showcased their striking visuals that perfectly aligned with their characters in the film, creating a captivating atmosphere in their photoshoot. When asked about their feelings upon receiving the casting news, Park Ji-hyun shared, "The character I initially wanted to play was actually a friend who was trapped. However, as the script evolved, I found myself more interested in the role of Soo-yeon, played by Yeo-jeong unnie."

The conversation then shifted to Jo Yeo-jeong, who was asked about any preparations she made for her emotional and physical transformation for the role of Soo-yeon. She humorously replied, "Since I had to be trapped... a diet?" This brought laughter to the group. She further explained, "It wasn't so much about preparation; I had to fully believe I was trapped on set, which made the acting itself quite challenging. There was a lot of physicality involved, like banging and shouting, so I was prepared but it was still tough."

When asked how they would describe themselves in one word, Song Seung-heon surprised everyone by calling himself a '꼰대' (a term for someone who is old-fashioned or a know-it-all). He explained, "When I go to the filming set, my juniors often say, 'Ah, you're such a 꼰대.' Whenever I share my thoughts, they respond with, 'Who says that these days?' I hear that a lot."

Jo Yeo-jeong described herself as being the complete opposite of how she appears, stating, "Many people see me as aloof, but my personality is quite the opposite. When viewed as the person Jo Yeo-jeong, I can be surprisingly clumsy and often make physical comedy. That's why I wrote that."

Park Ji-hyun chimed in, expressing her affection for Jo Yeo-jeong, saying, "On set, she didn't come off as a snob at all; she was very warm and approachable. So when she described herself as the opposite, I wondered if that meant she was a bad person?"

In closing, Song Seung-heon shared a heartfelt wish, stating that he hopes to become a father to a beautiful daughter someday. He recounted a recent dinner where he saw a senior's phone filled with pictures of his daughter, saying, "I'm at the age where I should be getting married, and I felt a pang of envy."
