Song Kang-ho Joins Netflix Series 'Beef' Season 2

Renowned actor 송강호 (Song Kang-ho) is set to join the cast of the Netflix series 'Beef' for its second season. According to reports from American entertainment outlets like Deadline on December 20, 2024, he will star alongside notable actors 윤여정 (Youn Yuh-jung), 오스카 아이삭 (Oscar Isaac), 캐리 멀리건 (Carey Mulligan), 찰스 멜턴 (Charles Melton), and 케일리 스페이니 (Kaitlyn Dever).
The upcoming season will revolve around a shocking confrontation witnessed by a young couple at a country club run by a Korean billionaire. This eight-episode series features Isaac and Mulligan as one couple, while Melton and Dever portray another. Youn will take on the role of the country club owner, although the specifics of Song's character have yet to be revealed.
Returning as showrunner is director 이성진 (Lee Sung-jin), who previously served as the executive producer, director, and writer for the first season. The original season's stars, 스티븐 연 (Steven Yeun) and 앨리 웡 (Ali Wong), will also return as producers, having contributed to the first season as well.
'Beef' made a significant impact at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards earlier this year, winning eight awards in the limited series and TV movie categories, including Outstanding Series, Director, and Lead Actor and Actress. The series tells the story of two individuals embroiled in a cycle of revenge stemming from a road rage incident.
The release date for Season 2 has not yet been announced.
