Song Kang-ho Joins Hollywood with Netflix's 'Beef' Season 2

Renowned South Korean actor Song Kang-ho is set to make his Hollywood debut in the second season of the popular Netflix series 'Beef'. According to a report from Deadline on December 19, 2024, the star of 'Parasite' will join previously announced cast members including Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, Charles Melton, and Youn Yuh-jung.
'Beef' Season 2 is centered around the events at an elitist country club run by a Korean billionaire. The plot follows a young couple who witness a shocking altercation between the club's owners, leading them into a web of manipulation and coercion. Youn Yuh-jung has already been confirmed to play the role of the Korean billionaire.
The first season of 'Beef', which premiered on Netflix in April 2023, received widespread acclaim from global audiences. It tells the story of a contractor and a businessman whose lives collide after a road rage incident. Directed and produced by Korean-American Lee Sung-jin, the series features a talented cast including Steven Yeun, Ashley Park, Joseph Lee, and Justin Min.
'Beef' made a significant impact at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards, winning a total of eight awards, including Outstanding Lead Actor and Actress, as well as Outstanding Directing and Writing.
