Song Joong-ki Reflects on Filming 'Bogotá: The Land of Last Chances' in Colombia

On December 19, the press screening for the film 'Bogotá: The Land of Last Chances' took place at COEX in Gangnam, Seoul. Actor Song Joong-ki shared his thoughts on completing location shooting in Bogotá, Colombia. He remarked, "Filming abroad comes with many unexpected variables, making it quite challenging. I relied heavily on my fellow actors during the shoot."
Set to be released on December 31, 'Bogotá' follows the story of Guk-hee (played by Song Joong-ki), who travels to Bogotá in search of new hope. There, he becomes entangled with influential figures in the Korean community, such as Su-young (Lee Hee-joon) and Sergeant Park (Kwon Hae-hyo). Directed by Kim Sung-jae, known for 'Minority Opinion', the film portrays Guk-hee as a young man dreaming of rising from the lowest to the highest positions in life.
Song expressed, "Shooting in a foreign environment is not easy due to the many unforeseen challenges. Despite the unfamiliar surroundings, I focused on depicting the conflicts among Koreans living far from home. Collaborating closely with my fellow actors sparked many ideas, which helped energize the filming process."
