Song Baek-kyung Reflects on His Journey in 'Salrimnam2'

In the latest episode of KBS2TV's reality show Salrimnam2 (살림남2), Song Baek-kyung, a member of the hip-hop group One Time (원타임), shared poignant memories from his past. The episode aired on March 22, 2025, showcasing Song's dual life as a devoted father and a successful voice actor during the day, while transforming into the owner of an izakaya at night.

At 8 AM, he was seen walking his two sons to school, emphasizing his commitment to family. He explained his participation in the show, stating, 'I want to convey that I am a father and a singer, even though I have turned down casting offers because I don't live as a celebrity.'

Song Baek-kyung reminisced about his early struggles in the music industry, recalling how he desperately wanted to be a singer but faced skepticism from teachers and even his mother. He often ran away from home due to the pressure, and started working part-time jobs from a young age.

His breakthrough came when he met Yang Hyun-suk, which led him to a practice studio. Despite facing numerous rejections in auditions, he was determined to seize the opportunity, stating, 'I thought if I let go of Yang Hyun-suk, I would live an ordinary life forever.' He worked hard, cleaning the studio meticulously and eventually shifted his focus from dance tracks to hip-hop, which caught Yang's attention. This effort ultimately led to his debut as a singer.

Song also revealed a tattoo on his arm, which he now keeps hidden. He reflected on how he once believed he would live his life solely as a singer, never anticipating the role of a father. 'I didn't know I would become a dad,' he said, contemplating the unexpected turns of life.
