Son Ye-jin Supports Husband Hyun Bin at 'Harbin' VIP Premiere

On December 19, actress Son Ye-jin made her first appearance at a VIP premiere for a film featuring her husband, Hyun Bin, at the CGV I-Park Mall in Yongsan, Seoul. The film, titled 'Harbin' (하얼빈), directed by Woo Min-ho and produced by CJ ENM and Hive Media Corp, is set in 1909 and revolves around a tense pursuit and suspicion between those heading to Harbin for a common goal and those chasing them. Hyun Bin stars as Ahn Jung-geun, the historical figure known for assassinating Ito Hirobumi, a key event in Korea's independence movement.
This premiere marked Son Ye-jin's first attendance at a VIP event for Hyun Bin since their marriage. During the event, she expressed her nervousness, saying, "Why am I more nervous when it’s not even my film?" and cheered for her husband with, "Honey, you can do it!" She also shared her admiration for Hyun Bin's dedication, noting, "He looked exhausted, and I could see the struggle in his eyes. As a fellow actor, I understand his pain, and I believe that his hard work will result in a great film. I’m looking forward to a million viewers! Let’s go!"
In a sweet gesture, Hyun Bin surprised Son Ye-jin by sending a snack truck to the set of her new film, 'There’s No Way' (어쩔 수가 없다), under their son's name, showcasing their supportive relationship. Currently, Son Ye-jin is filming this project, which also stars Lee Byung-hun, making it her first film since marriage and childbirth, raising expectations among fans.
Hyun Bin also mentioned his support for Son Ye-jin during an appearance on the tvN show 'You Quiz on the Block' (유 퀴즈 온 더 블록) aired on December 18. He stated, "This is my wife’s first project since our marriage. I wanted to encourage her by sending the snack truck under our son’s name because she is working with such talented people on a great project. I know how much she has wanted to act as a mother, and I feel sorry for the sacrifices she has made. After filming 'Harbin,' I sensed the pressure she felt, and I plan to tell her she did a great job once her project wraps up."
In a heartfelt video message, he expressed gratitude to Son Ye-jin, recalling how their son signaled his arrival just before the 'Harbin' filming began, and he thanked her for managing everything while he was away for overseas shoots. He concluded with a wish for their son to grow up healthy and happy with both parents. The couple continues to capture the public's attention with their loving support for each other.
